Al Assab Quay wall
Realization of 750 m of quay wall with a retaining height of 14 m and a slipway. The quay wall is built as a high-strength steel combi wall, made with sheet piles and box piles. The structure is anchored by means of an embedded anchor wall and tie-back anchors. The quay wall is provided with a reinforced precast concrete capping beam and quay furniture. Gulf Foundation was subcontracted to perform the following activities:
- Design and construction of 750 m of quay wall. The quay wall is built as an anchored combi-retaining wall with a precast concrete capping beam.
