Port of Fujairah Service Harbour Coastal protection works

Construction of a 1.25 km long breakwater and a 0.95 km long revetment for the Port of Fujairah Service Harbour. The purpose of the breakwater is twofold: 1) to protect the Service Harbour from waves and currents, and 2) to provide access to the supply boat piers, the tugboat boat pier, and the PoF Marine Department building. The breakwater and revetment are built as rubble mound structures with a rock core, filter layers and heavy rock armour. On the crest of the breakwater a cast in-situ mass concrete crown wall is realized. Gulf Foundation was subcontracted to perform the following activities:

  • Construction of the breakwater
  • Construction of the revetment
