Fujairah Northern Land Reclamation Project

 The project includes 200 ha of large-scale land reclamation and 4.6 km of coastal protection. Land reclamation is by landfill using rock material blasted in the Fujairah mountain region. The coastal protection is by rubble mound revetment. A cast in-situ mass concrete crown wall is provided at the crest of the revetment. Gulf Foundation was subcontracted for the following activities:

• Demolition of the existing revetment with a length of 3.8 km.
• Reclamation works including landfill, compaction, and testing
• Coastal protection works include the realization of a rubble mound revetment at a water depth of -15 m. 
• The casting of a mass concrete crown wall with a length of 4.6 km.
